Thumbs up Tenerife Forum apartment owners, have a look at this website I have found!

Hi to all

I don't know whether this will interest any of you, but I have been surfing on the web and I have found a website called tenerifeownersdirect.com.

This website has the same concept as owners direct only that it solely for Tenerife, what a great way to promote your apartment. I have added my apartment that I have in Los Cristianos because any help I can get at the moment is a bonus. It was really easy to follow, I chose my own user name and password and gave my apartment its own reference number. It let me upload 6 photos and I was able to put as much information as I wanted. It only cost me 150 Euro to advertise for a year. I think it is a new website has anyone else heard of it ??

I'll let you know how I get on with the enquiries!!

Hmmmm... just had a look and I could only find one property on there, so I don't fancy your chances just yet. 150€ a year seems a tad expensive when there's nothing on there, as it's not going to get the search traffic unless there's something to search! It certainly won't compete with the likes of OwnersDirect or HolidayLettings. There are sooo many property rental sites for Tenerife on the net, it's high competition to get on Google's front page.

You can't even browse all the properties too... so the only way you can see what is there is by using the search and it's very cumbersome having to do a search for each category in order to get a listing... and in the current case, find there's nothing there! It doesn't seem very user friendly for anyone looking to find a cheap deal or rent.

I will reserve judgement on the usefulness of this site, however I would think that the people that put it up would have offered an initial free period to get properties on first, and then charge after the first year or something, once the site has more weight.

There are better places to put your apartment that offer a six month free trial!

Then you pay an annual fee... If no bookings in 6 months you know its not going to work and get out at NO COST!

What I liked about the web site is that it is orientated at Tenerife Only and that you also get listed for free on canaryislandsownersdirect.com, when the other websites are world wide. I am currently on Owners direct and it is more expensive than tenerifeownersdirect.com.
Also I am willing to give it a go, and when it comes to renewing if I haven't been happy with the result I will not renew.
I am the sort of person that will try anything if it will help. I hope that more people will put their apartment on so that there will be properties to search.

I liked the site layout. Not sure if people are willing to pay that much to list properties.
Good luck with your search and I hope you receive loads of enquiries.

Hi we advertise on four sites but only one brings in any bookings,as a previous poster has said any site that is not on a search engines first page do not get a look in.Its trial and error to see which sites work for you.

Holiday homes in Tenerife

Hi, we hire out mobile homes in Tenerife and we use Self catering breaks, it is totally free to advertise and there is even an availability calendar on there that you can fill in. We have had a few bookings from this.

Also I use Ebay, this costs around £15 a month per van, but this is a classified advert and there are no restrictions in the ad.

Another we use is Preloved.com this is a good site and is free, you can upgrade to premier account for £25 a year, which I did.

I think £150 a year is steep, they should be offering it free for so many people to be attracted, you would even be cheaper using Dalton.

Not much difference £150 or 150 euros, still seems steep, can you prove to us that we would get value for money? I would pay that if I was guaranteed bookings. I spend £15 a month on Ebay, so mine is probably expensive but get 2/3 bookings a month from it.
