Ruby Supper Bar, Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife

We have just come back from half term away with the kids - had a lovely time and sorry to be back in all the wind and rain.

While we were there, we we spotted an English fish and chip shop called Ruby Supper Bar, near the Sky Park. We had a very tasty meal of fish and chips which was lovely and fresh and the kids had sausages (DS)and chicken
nuggets (DD1 & DD2) They ate every scrap - the only time they cleared a plate during the holiday.

The place was quite quiet which was great because we got served quickly, and the waitress, who was really friendly and chatty, said it hadn't been open long, but I told her not to worry - the price was good and the food was lovely so they are going to be really popular. Best meal of the holiday - especially trying to feed 3 picky kids.

I love a good chippy and Scampi's is the best by far. I was excited to see Ruby's open and my friends went and tried a takeaway. They had no complaints about the food and said it was nice but both portions of fish were very small. I don't know if this was a one off but my friends were very disappointed. We will still try it though!

It must drive the mods mad - first posting, and only topic of conversation is a new place that is obviously looking for custom!!!!

Rubys Super Fish & Chip Shop

I got a take away from here last week and thought it was very good. Fresh, clean establishment. We had 1 small portion of sausage & chips (Which was plenty for me as you still got 2 sausages in batter) and 1 large portion which was ample for my hubbie.

    Will defo be going back!

Sounds like gourmet cooking to me! Sausages and chicken nuggets. I find it hard to get excited about that. If it was the best meal of the holiday, I wonder where else they ate??? Doesn´t say much for "cuisine" in Tenerife does it!

I think Ruby Supper Bar is a fish and chip shop, if you want Gourmet Restaurants, I'm sure there are plenty in Tenerife but don't take the kids 'cause they probably won't serve chicken nuggets!!!!
