my husband and i have residencia , but our children under 16 do not. do you know if we have to get birth certificates translated , we have everything else we need , i do not want to turn up at police station with wrong information

No you dont need them changing i did ours monday gone, and only took the birth certificates that we have in english, there was no problem. oh just one thing take a photo copy of everything as they keep the copy for their files.

what time did you get to police station and how long did it take? is it 6.80 euros, do the children have to be with us

Yes the children have to be there. we got there at 6.45 and was out by 9.00. we got number 4,5,6,7, in the queue outside and only waited minutes inside before we were dealt with. just double check that everything is photocopied.

yes it is 6. 80 but make sure this is paid in the bank before you go.

Do you need one if your child was born here? And why would you need one for a child anyway? Just curious. All Alfie has is an affiliation to my social security number in case he needs hospital.

Well it may be different if your child was born here as the police did ask us this question and when we said no he told us they need to see his birth certificate and have a copy, so to be honest i dont know if you still need one if they were born here.

i also forgot to add take the mothers passport and a copy they also ask for this.
