Torviscas or Chayofa? Where should I live in Tenerife?

im moving to tenerife around the beginning of july with my 10 year old daughter. i am considering the Torviscas or Chayofa area to live in and also for schooling etc. my friends live up the back of las americas on the hillside, near to bar tasca, so I would like to be located near for support from them too. anyone who is near these areas can they give me some pros and cons of each....is one more expensive then the other, or does one have better schooling with after school care, lifestyle, etc.....any of your thoughts would be appreciated

thanks

Need more info, where do you plan to school your kids? Can you drive? What kind of accomodation do you need? ie, size space etc, All your questions can be answered for sure but need a bit more info from yourself first i think.

hi there

okay sorry about that, yes i can drive, and was looking to live somewhere less touristie and more espagnol. i am open to my daughter going to a state school which must have some after school care support. I am also a holistic therapist and will be looking for realistic work nearby. I thought it would be sensible to start with a 1 bedroom apartment or studio until i get on my feet?

thanks

Personally, I would say Adeje would be better, or Los Olivos. Schools are closer and less saturated, easy travelling distance in and a good mix of Spanish and English.

Chayofa

I live in Chayofa and it is a very quiet village. It is full of people with different languages ranging from English, German to Spanish.
Everybody in Chayofa are really friendly and it is only a five/ten minute drive to Las Americas.
