I never have had to change English money up, but i was wondering if i needed to where do you go on the gds for best rates please?

Not too many places around but as you walk down the steps from the middle square there is a shop on the left that exchanges sterling.
Rates may not be the best but are normally better than the banks and the shop opens 7 days a week until late. There is a rates board outside but it is sometimes difficult to find it because of all the stuff they put outside.

Ask the bar owners in the area they will always change money and normally at a slightly better rate than the exchange places.

i would recommend admiral travel sl for changing money they have 5 offices all over the south of island. you receive a better deal too if changing over 1000pds in mornings

Perhaps all the exchanges should set up a few tables and start selling drinks. Bet the bars would love the boot being on the other foot!
