Question Can anyone give me driving directions to Mount Teide?

Hi,

Looking to hire a car from somewhere in Las Americas next week (any recommends) and taking a drive up there with the wife.

I went up on an excursion years ago so can't remember the route that well.

Is is straight forward to Vilaflor and then on some more

Would appreciate some help as my route at the moment says

ARONA TF 51 TO VILAFLOR
THEN ON TO TF 21

Thanks.

If you're going the Vilaflor way...

Head up out of Los Cris towards Chayofa. When you get to La Camella, there's a signposted left hand turn to Arona... Take it. Carry on all the way, until you reach the outskirts of Arona. There's another left hand turn just before you get into the town which is signposted Vilaflor. Take it. The next village you will get to is La Escalona. Drive straight through it until you finally reach a T junction in Vilaflor. Take a left and carry straight on all the way up to Teide.

I used to live in La Escalona

To go the Chio way... (a lot straighter roads)

Take the motorway Adeje-bound. When you reach the roundabout at the end of the motorway, go straight ahead. Carry on... Carry on... Carry on... you will go through 2 tunnels.... Carry on... the next town is Guia de Isora... carry on... the next village is Chio. As you leave Chio there is a Texaco Petrol Station on the left and it is clearly signposted right up to Teide.

I currently live in Chio

It would up that road. It would knock a good 2 hours off the journey
