Question What is the best way to see Mount Teide?

a few yrs ago when i first came to tenerife with my friend, we went on an island tour with a guy who lives over there, my friends brothe had known him for years.
he was called john the boat, he was a double for nigel mansel he used to live near the airport and also did translating on the markets.
he had a 4x4 and took 4 people up on an amazing tour of teide, stopping in places that you would never see on the coach tours.
as a keen landscape photographer i would love to do somthing like that again.
option 1 is to hire a car and spend a lot of time time touring around the park. but i have never driven abroad and not sure what to expect.(i drive buses for a living here in the uk)
or does anyone have any other ideas. a jeep safari was another option but not sure if i would have enough time to do do photos (waiting for the light to become right etc)
would love to do sunset / sunrise.
coming on the 17th nov for our usual 3 weeks hopefuly will get some snowy teide landscape shots

Hire a car and go for it. Hiring would enable you to explore a lot more, but beware; you should not take a hire car off road! Read the small print before signing a contract.Dont let this reply put you off. I would do it again.

Very good car hire place by the crossing near the corner near the Reveron Apartments. It's on the main road down to the sea and set back a bit down some steps.
