Places to take under 5's in Tenerife

Im pretty sure this is covered on a thread somewhere but afraid I cant find it.

I have family over and would like some suggestions on where to take unders 5's. Is the donkey place still going, and are there any good play parks. I cant think of any except down by chicagos. What about evening entertainment, are there any shows suitable for kiddies?

Thanks Kirsty, we are going to the Monkey park next week on my grandsons 1st birthday, I havent been for years as it got very ropey and I found it quite upsetting but i hear things have improved so we are looking forward to it.

Also have read the good reviews about donkey park and will be ringing to go there this week too.

Thanks for all your help.

Don't forget the Miki Park above Centro Comercial El Duque. Great set-up for kids, plus a cafe/bar. As for night entertainment, we take our kids to the mini-disco at the Riu Costa Adeje (near the CC El Duque). So long as you buy a drink or two, I don't think they mind outsiders going in. It starts at 7.30 and finishes 8-8.30.
Good luck

Hi

Where is CC El Duque. Looked for it last weekend. Is it near Plaza El Duque. It looks like a fun place to bring a kid.

As an answer to the first question, there's also another sand covered play ground beside the cultural center in LC. As for night time we have not found much in the liner of entertainment unless your a resident in a hotel. Would love some ideas on that.

Hi Ainsie
CC El Duque is further inland from Plaza del Duque. Look up the hill and you'll see it. It's opposite where they hold the market.
As for nightime entertainment, maybe we should run a series of reviews of hotel kids shows where non-hotel guests are welcome. Anybody else crashed a hotel kids show/disco?

Thumbs up

Yes i really reccomend the monkey park, i have a 3 year old and we go all the time and its not expensive either 10 euros for adults and 7 euros for residents if their still doing the residents discounts.

There is also Telepizza that has a kiddies play gym in Los Cristianos.

Also on an evening on the waste ground behind Cristian Sur in los Cristianos they've opened up a dry ice-skating rink and next to it there is a big kiddie area with bouncy castles thats only 3 euros for as long as you want

Ainsie, aren't you at El Mirador or Dinastia? Have you tried the kids disco at Beverley Hills, every night except Friday 8 till 9 I think. They're quite happy for you to go in. Probably appeals to kids up to age 8 ish. They've also got a small jungle-gym type play area and a couple of bowling lanes.

Everyone has stole my thunder on this one, Monkey Park is the place, also Camel Park at Armenime, little known place other side of the motorway from the airport is the Ostrich Park, as for evenings most bars and restaurants accept kiddies no problems and the Spanish love kids, so the waiters fuss over them all the time, one place mainly for kids would be Bens bar in Torviscas Alto and also near the Waterpark Pinnochios Italian, its pretty close to Molino Blanco, it has a bouncy castle etc for kids!
If they really get on your nerves take them up the Volcano and leave them there.

Only kidding with the last bit
