The other J and I went to stay in the Parador overnight once, just to be able to see the night sky and the stars, but we sometimes just go for a drive up there late in the evening. It's amazing, and much clearer than further down, though it can be cloudy up there too. Even on a moonless night it is bright enough from starlight to be able to see where you're walking once you've turned off the engine and the lights. If you can go, then it really is worth it, and I've heard good things about these excursions too.
