Hi i am looking for advise on where might be good for me to live on tenerife. i am looking for a 1 bedfoom flat with internet access with a weight training gym near by. I will probibly be working back on a bar, i have basic spanish and want to be fluient. my original idea was to stay in Puerto de la cruz, La Laguna or Santa Cruz with tenerifans to learn about the culture and language. I think i mabie should stay in the south as there is english speaking people. i like the idea of costa de silencio ten bel or las cristianos or playa de las americas can anyone please offer some ideas as it is hard to know without being thier. I am moving thier 5th december many thanks

As a Tenerife Forum member I can only qualify a positive statement about Tenerife by saying something negative about the UK (preferably england)

Las Galletas has English speakers but is far more "Spanish" than Los Cristianos and Las Americas.
There is a good gym on the main road and a bus runs directly into Los Cristianos at least once an hour.

Really cheap bars, restaurants, rent etc if you shop around and everything is on your doorstep, shops, post office, transport etc.

We were going to move to Los Cristianos but didnt want to pay double what we pay now to live in the centre.
