Can someone apply for my NIE for me in Tenerife?

I've heard there are people who will apply for the NIE on your behalf, queue at the copshop, complete all the paperwork for you etc etc.

If anybody does this would you pm please cos I really can't be bothered doing it myself

They can sort out all the paperwork, wait in the queue for you, etc........ but unless they've changed the rules you still need to go down in person.

most estate agents or solicitors will do all the paper work but you have to sign it in person at the cop shop, should cost about 50 euro.

We were told by an agent in Fuerteventura that you can give a lawyer power of attorney and they can complete the whole process for you.

We prepare everything for you and hold your hand at the police station but normally you have to attend in person. The only way around this is to give a power of attorney for the specific purpose of transacting your paper work. This involves Notary costs and attendance at the notary.

The only time I normally do this is if people are bedridden in which case the notary comes to their home (more expense), or they are out of the country and are in a hurry.

Its not the preparation or attending the copshop that bothers me, just getting out of bed early enough to do it!

This sort of time is fine. I went down about lunch time on all three days, first day to get the form and get the bank form, second day to submit the forms, and third day to collect my cert.
Dave.
