Help I don't know what to do! We move over on the 29th August and I need to organise a car, I think it might take a couple of months to get the paper work sorted out to buy one? Should I hire or lease one?

If you buy a new or used car through a recognised dealer, they will sort out the paperwork for you.

If you buy privately, there are many companies - the best ones are Tenerife Forum members that will do it for you.

You will have the paperwork to say that the paperwork is being done instantly (does that make sense )

Thanks Mike and Ashro, So in theory we could just hire a car for a week or so and that should give us time to buy one? do you know of any good garages? I've seen a couple at TRC are they any good?

Dunno about TRC (never used them), but Sanasty Cars in Los Cristianos have always done right for me. They're very near to Cristian Sur. The owner (Mark) is a bit of a character .
