Been there, tried that, so I would suggest a language course. You can do a course quite cheaply in the Culture Centre, so I have been told.
I am lucky as my daughter´s school has just started free after school lessons for children that attend that school & for any family members who want to learn, so I am doing that.

I don't think there is a real fast way to learn Spanish, the younger the person the easier it will be. When i started learning i concentrated on the alphabet till i new it off by heart, then i learnt the numbers and so on. I have some Spanish friends who own a cafe/bar in tenerife, when i see them i try and talk in Spanish and i am always asking them what things mean or what things are called in Spanish. I always carry a pocket dictionary with me. It's not easy but stick at it and good luck. I purchased a cd course called Visual Links which i like if you go on to there site they have a demo cd that you can use. I hope this info has been of some help to you. Good luck.![]()
I love mornings, just wish they came a bit later
I would recommend trying a mixture of approaches as we all learn differently.
A good (and free ) start is 'Spanish Steps' which is available free on line from the bbc-just google it. It is fun and provides a good basis. There are also other free sites available if you look for them.
