| Looking for work In most Countries looking for work means either a visit to the Job Centre, an Employment Agency, or checking the Sit Vac adverts in the Press. But I think in Tenerife it's very much about putting yourself about. Get around as many shops as you can, speak to shop owners, or managers. Don't go just once make a weekly call list, and visit a place at least 3 times, or until they say "Don't call again" First call they will say "We will let you know", second "Still nothing but we will give you a call", third call they will realise you are serious, and if they are not they will tell you not to call again. If they are genuine they might say "Just keep calling in" Keep in their face , and you will be top of the list in their memeory files, and when something does come up, who do you think they will think of first........yes....the pain in the but which keeps coming around everyweek. It works to put yourself about....decide what you would like to do....and chase it like you have never done before. IT WORKS! |
