Part-time merchandising job available in Tenerife

Hi,

I work for a snacks Company [NOT Pringles] merchandising their products. Basically I go the retail outlets/cafés/bars etc and check what stock they have, and replenish low stock. I also introduce new products, and advise clients on the best selling items.

I enjoy this, but as I'm now at retirement age, and would like someone to job share. This would involve doing what I do, but for 2-3 days a week, as I find 5-6 days too much for me now.

I get paid a percentage of what business is generated, plus my petrol expenses.

If anyone is interested please PM me, but I'm looking for someone on a permanent basis. If your looking for a stop-gap whilst you find something else this is NOT FOR YOU. However if you just want 2-3 days, with the possibility at some stage of taking over when I retire then feel free to request info.

No tyre kickers please.

An overiew is shown below.

“More Than Just Nuts”, is an European based trading Company, which trades in Tenerife under the banner of Nature’s Finest. It also incorporates “Crips”, which is a gourmet product marketed in the UK by Marks & Spencer, which “More Than Just Nuts” hold the exclusive right to in the Canary Islands.

Bar/Cafeteria Supplies

We have exclusive rights to two great product ranges, which are not only quality products (Sold by Marks & Spencer, Selfridges & Waitrose in UK), but are offered on a sale-or-return basis. Point of sale display materials are free of charge.

This enables discerning bar/cafeteria owner the opportunity to add products and profits to their sales, WITHOUT any outlay or cost to themselves.

This has NO connection with vending machines, (Which incidentally only offer a 20% return).

The ranges include CRIPS, which are:
• NO MSG
• Natural Flavours
• 6 months shelf life
• NO GM ingredients
• Suitable for Vegetarians
• Oven baked and NOT fried.
• 4 times less fat than traditional crisps.
• Scored better than Walkers Baked, Kettle, Ryvita in taste tests
In attractive 35 gramme foil packs.

See: www.cripsnacks.com

Nature's Finest Nuts & Snacks include:
• Pistachios
• Bombay Mix
• Chilli Cracker
• BBQ Peanuts
• Chilli Peanuts
• Spicy Sesame
• Salted Cashews
• MixedFruit & Nut
• Jumbo Peantnuts
• Dry Roast Peanuts
• Black pepper Cashews
• Salt & Vinegar Peanuts
• Lemon & Chilli Cashews
• Black Pepper Popadoms
• Wasabi Peanuts & Crackers
All in attractive 70 gramme packs

Remember, all these are available without any purchase on your part, all you do is pay for the packs which have been sold at each weekly service call, when your point of sale display will be re-stocked.

Merchandising takes usually 3-4 hours per day, and the remuneration is 10% of the gross taking for the merchandiser. As it is usual do replenish 6-10 outlets per hour, the rewards are usually equivalent to approx €7 per hour.

For anyone who might want more than 3-4 hours per day, more than one “round” can be consolidated.

There is also a bonus for new accounts gained, of €10

Petrol expenses are covered.

At the moment Nature’s Finest have approved the additional help, but as the assistant merchandiser would actually be employed by me, then we have to reach an agreement about who will actually offer the contract, myself or Nature’s Finest.

Candidates would need their own transport, and replenishment stock would be delivered to them each working day, and surplus stock collected at the end of the day.

I would the whole of the South of Tenerife, but the areas I need help with are, Los Cristianos, Las Americas, and possibly Cost del Silencio.

Contact should be made by PM to me.

Exclamation Caution advised

This is the same snack company whose proprietor, the job advertiser here - murdoch 48, blacklisted two forum members' businesses on a Not Recommended List (with a circulation of 3000) without due process. This list purports to warn people not to do business with those mentioned and claims fraud & unscrupulous business practices by some on the list.

In the case of one business, Kittys Cabaret Bar, the list stated "Action in process to recover goods/equipment by supplier" though the only contact attempted was an (unread) message on this forum requesting return of the goods ... a small wire rack and 12 packets of nuts.

For any further facts regarding this matter, please feel free to pm me.

Factual correction.

Murdoch48 is not the proprietor of either Nature's Finest or Crips, and is not the publisher of any list.

If any member has an axe to grind, this is not the place to do it, especailly when the information is not correct.

Splitting hairs - you are the registered owner of the domain tenerifeservices.net which published (and still publishes, though now for a fee) the Not Recommended List and have supplied most, if not all, of the information on said list.

I presume you have the franchise for Tenerife for Nature's Finest.

I believe this information is in the interests of this forum and it´s members so they may make a judgement about this "job"

With respect i'm not sure what this job advert has to do with anything else that may have gone on in the past regarding other businesses other than it is a good opportunity to air some grudges against the OP.

Natures Finest is a respectable franchise, my mate used to own the Franchise for the Island a couple of years ago and the only problem he had was not enough people on the Island to buy the product nothing at all wrong with the company.

Reading the post it seems legitimate enough, contract offered with the chance to increase hours and earnings as well and lots of information.

There are enough people in Tenerife needing a job right now, myself included who would welcome a chance at this job, again myself included so not sure why someone with your standing on this and other forums would come on and slate a genuine job prospect for other Tenerifians is beyond me, if this person has made allegations against a business that you invested heavily in in the past then surely public helpful information pages aren't the place to take this up.

I have to say in all my previous dealings with the OP i have found them to be more than helpful.

I totally respect your opinion andy. I trust in our members to weigh up all information given (and in our mods to remove anything they believe inappropriate)

As the job is to be commission based on sales achieved, it would be interesting to know the basic rate per hour that the part time contract will state (for as you know, it must mention an amount) and the number of hours in the first 3 (or 6) month contract.

I am really confused with this quote as none of the contracts that we had issued showed an hourly rate only no. of hours to be worked. Also the contract my husband has doesnt show this information and that has been done by a very reputable astoria.
