Sorry, but if any potential applicants cannot actually read the above post correctly and act upon it then I do not see how they can expect to gain employment in any environment!!!

It clearly states, PM with your email address for more information!

You are totally right uptowngirl,it seems all the jobs that get advertised on the forum ask people interested to PM for more info, but everyone who replies to the posts want the person advertising the job to PM them!

This is why we used to lock the threads... however it also stopped valid questions that would be better off replied to in the thread... once again you can't win

I have just received a PM (glad you managed to send a PM this time) from Jane expressing that there was no need for me to be so rude!!

Well I do not think I am actually being rude. I believe that the advert states quite clearly how to proceed.

There seems to be no discipline in the personnel sector in Tenerife. Years ago in the UK, if an applicant applied for a job in blue ink and not black............their cover letter and CV would be immediately filed............in the bin!!

Quite simply, if a potential candidate cannot apprehend simple instructions from a written advert, then it is unlikely they are going to be suitable for a job where paperwork HAS to be completed correctly.

Nothing harsh about it, nothing snotty , but Fact!

Absolutely agree.

If we are looking for staff, we will often say ... drop your CV in at our 'wherever' office. In all honesty, it doesn't matter which office they drop it into, but if someone drops their CV in at the wrong office, it goes in the bin.

On the other hand if they walk into another office and say ... I am supposed to drop this into 'whichever' office but can't get there for the next few days, can you arrange to have it delivered there for me.

That show initiative.

We often also ask for a whatever by whatever size photo too. We have absolutely no interest in the photo, it's just another means of telling whether someone can follow instructions

Don't interrupt me when I'm ignoring you!

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.
