Female vocalist for busy tribute show required in south Tenerife
Female vocalist required for successful tribute show in the south of Tenerife. Must be good with harmonies, dance moves and presentation. 5'3 to 5'6 max, size 10-14. A clean, disciplined vocal style is essential.
This position does not offer accommodation or any other extras so would suit somebody already living on the island or due to move soon. Must have transport.
Currently workking 5/6 nights a week, 45 minute show, sometimes two shows per night. Potential earning of 1600+ euros per month with all daytimes free.
All costumes etc provided. Contract and social security/taxes paid. This position is initially for 6 months to cover maternity leave but will continue after that period as the show will be expanding.

I find your advertisment offensive as i have all of the above apart from i am a plus size woman, also it contravines the 1977 Spanish Constitution to advertise a position in such a way.

Unfortunately when you are performing a tribute show it is quite important that you not only sound but also look a little like the person being imitated. It is surely better to be honest from the onset than to waste someones time with an audition & then be told that you don't fit the part.

I have to agree with samantha on this one... anoth point to add is that the costumes were made for a particular person, so the person taking over for the maternity leave, would have to fit into the same ones. It would be far too costly to have everything adjusted in order to fit another person for a six month period, only to have to readjust them afterwards.
Also, they do go up to size 14, which is not particularly slim for 5'6"... I would say it was a normal size... I'm 5'9" and a size 16. I wouldn't particularly class myself as overweight... just average.
