Just like to say thanks to everyone's contribution so far on this forum - it's alotta help!

(And I only just started reading it today - looking for info on that pearl of a subject, that you're all so keen to help with - banking!!!

)
I'll be relocating to La Escalona in Sept.
So, the story, and it's absolutely true- I was working in Shanghai 2 yrs ago, in car design, with a few english guys and 20 or so Chinese newbie engineers.
I was in charge of the door team.
And the 1st name of the guy doing the front door was Ker. His 2nd name was Wang, a common surname in China.
Bearing in mind the chinese put the surname 1st, and 'we' all have to be extremely polite to each other, I have to call him Mr Wang Ker.
(Because there are so many Wangs!)
And, when I had a problem with his work, I have to raise my voice, as is the custom, otherwise he won't get the severity of the problem!
You can imagine shouting out MR WANG KER, in the middle of the office being rather peculiar, to put it mildly!
The chinese didn't get it, obviously, but big guffaws from my english colleagues,

every time!
Well, now that I've entered my 'one post at least', I can give you all a thrashing in the Arcade-

(hope I'll have something useful to add one day

)
cheers everyone
