Hi! My name's Leafar and I'm new to the Tenerife Forum

Hi, my name is Rafael.

If you go to it, you will see my full name, my email address, a picture of me, and it even says where i live, and it confirms that i am a musician, so if i mention being a musician, you can see that its true.

But why am i telling you all this? Because 10 minutes ago i was banned from other tenerife forum which has a similar name to this one. I notice that some members here are also members of the other forum.

You had a member who is now a moderator on the other forum. It has become clear that this person has had some kind of problem with someone, and i have had nothing but trouble from the vast majority of posters that ive come across in the other forum, and part of that is due to the fact that they all seem to think that im this other person.

And thats why it seems that i have to give my full name etc, in case anyone here (particularly members from you know where) decide to play the role of Columbo and speculate about me being some girl who had a problem with someone who was banned from here and now moderates the other forum. Its all a very interesting plot, and it sounds like something out of Dynasty but im rather more interested in asking qiestions abot Tenerife and gaining information.

I cant be bothered to go through all that as its such a pain in the ass, but lets just say that its been a minefield of misunderstandings, and insults.

The last message that i got from the person who banned me just now was "Bye Caty". So apparently, despite having 2 testicles and a penis, my name is Caty. Dont get me wrong, i like the idea of dressing up as a girl but this is ridiculous.

Despite the fact that some posters from that other forum are also here, im hoping that i can make a fresh start here. Normally i wouldnt care about all this but i am seriously considering moving to Tenerife and i need advice, and i cant afford to waste time with people who think that i dont appreciate advice, or who suspect me of being someone else.

So, as long as it works out here, remember that if i ask for advice and i get it and then i keep asking, or i say things like "really, are you sure?" etc etc, or i otherwise say things which might sound like im not listening to what im being told, thats just me having a conversation. Presumable many of you live in Tenerife, and so you will understand that people think and speak differently. These simple concepts (which i kept clarifying but got nothing but abuse by what is in fact a cowardly little clique of bullies) were lost on the members of the other forum (which i consider to be a total joke), but hopefully people here are a bit more reasonable.

I dont half go on. By the way i was born in Tenerife and i speak spanish.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

Secondly, WHAT an introduction

Thirdly, I hope you do not mind, but I have had to edit names out of your post, as we don't particularly want to dredge up old business and end up with arguments on here. We are a friendly bunch and don't want any threads on the forum causing problems with other forums.

Finally, after that introduction, which you obviously had to get off your chest, I hope this can be the last said on the matter, you can start afresh here and enjoy what the forum has to offer.

We have almost 3 years of info built up on here, so hopefully you will be able to find all you need

to the Tenerife Forum family

so if your responses are the same well who knows.

I would respectfully suggest that a good start might be being more honest.

You were given sound advice but it appears your not adept at listening so unless you change tack than the journey may well be same.

I just wrote a long response to you, but im not going to post it. For the first time in a long time im going to bite my tongue, not because i want to take the moral high ground, but for the purely practical reason that this is too important to mess up. Im here for advice, and in return, to help wherever i can (which i can because i was born in Tenerife and i speak spanish).

All i will say in direct response to your post is that you are completely incorrect about everything youve just said.

Come on guys, this is a FRIENDLY FORUM, and do we really need this?

Anyway welcome to the forum and there is a wealth of info on here due to the fact it has been up and running for a longtime! I hope you find the info you need.
