Introduction to the Tenerife Forum - Goforgold

Just a short intro on myself.

I lived in Los Cristianos for a couple of years in 1988/89 and worked as a secretary at Beverly Hills in their Contracts Department. I've only been back for a few hours since then, when we started a 3 day cruise from Tenerife .

Whilst there I took the OH to see some of my old haunts!! We hired a car that afternoon and went up Teide (well tried to) it was raining so hard we had to turn back. This was March and I was very surprised at all the greenery in the South, when I lived there I didn't see a drop of rain.

I joined the Forum a few months ago as we will be looking for some long term winter sun in about 20 months and wanted to get some ideas. I'm also enjoing reading the experiences of the other members on here.

Can anyone tell me the name of the bar/restaurant opposite Christian Sur? I've forgotten it - I had a friend who had been working there for years - not sure if she's still there now - it's on the corner.

I was going to say El Brasero, but thinking about it now I reckon you could be talking about the one with the BBQ outside on the corner of the road which has the Travel Shop.................. will try and remember to have a look tonight

Yes, it is the Margarita - thanks for that. I wonder if my flat share friend is still there. If anyone ever goes, in her name is Mia. Hopefully by now she has found some lovely man and is living in luxury!!!

We are coming over for a week on 23 January and staying at Park Royale. I spent a few weeks there between apartment moves. It was lovely, huge balcony and large for a studio and 2 minutes to work and no walking up that hill - except when I needed to send a fax and I had to go down to the office at the bottom - phew!!!
