Has anyone been recently or know if the show is still on? we are coming back in January and was thinking about going to it. Just cant find a single website with any information at all, so if any of you have any info, e.g. price, food, show, times etc? it would be very helpful. thankyou. So nobody knows anything?

The Pyramid de Arona is a ludic center in the south of Tenerife that offers quality animation and entertainment. Discover the spectacular musical "Fire and Dance", of Carmen Mota and her Spanish Ballet with music by Ravel, Rimsky-Korsakov.... and a modern version of the opera Carmen, by Bizet. The 30 ballerinas belonging to the Carmen Mota Company, put all their artistic qualities on the stage for the spectacular performance of the live Spanish Ballet. The Spectacular is complimented by the careful selection of music and choreography combined with classic dance, flamenco, bolero, Navarrese, "chotis" and "zarzuela" amongst others. Esencia de Amor "Esencia de Amor" is the name of the latest musical dance production by Carmen Mota showing at the Piramides de Arona, Mare Nostrum Resort in Playa de Las Americas. The ninety minute show is a version of an opera by Gaetano Donizetti called "L'exir de amor" which has been adapted by Carmen Mota, and transformed into an impressive display of song and dance involving 29 different artists. Carmen Mota has devoted her entire life to Spanish Ballet, born in Madrid she started dancing at a tender age and it has been her life long career. Her unique style fuses modern Spanish dancing with more classical and traditional movement, Esencia de Amor is her eighth musical. The story takes place in Andalucia in the nineteenth century and tells of a beautiful romance between Nemorino and Adina. Esencia de Amor is the ninth show produced by Carmen Mota for the Piramides de Arona and is divided into two halves. The first half feature dancing and the second half is more of a comedy show with music. The show, which takes place on Mondays, Wednedays and Fridays at 8pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 9pm is definitely worth a visit.

I think you'll find Esencia De Amour has finished, or is finishing soon. It is to be replaced by an adaption of the Julie Andrews/Blake Edwards film musical Victor/Victoria called Airam/Maria.
Or so I've been told by the Piramides Rep.
