Has anyone else on the Tenerife forum been over-charged at an Angus Steakhouse?

If you go to any of the Angus Steak Houses, check your bill. We were over charged by €3, the items listed on the bill didnt add up to the amount at the bottom. We presumed that the extra was tax as it said that it was included, although it didnt state it seperately on the bill. A local bar owner spoke to us after we left and asked us if we had been over charged and told us that this was quite common practice by the Steakhouse and had we saved our bill, we could have denounced the company as its a scam. She explained that if a large party eats there they can sometimes add €10 on a bill. Real shame, as we really enjoyed the meal, although it was a little pricey.

Anyone else had similar encounter?

Around four years or so ago, my daughter and her family came out to stay with us. We´d all been ten-pin bowling and decided to eat at the Steakhouse as a treat. Four adults and two kiddies (the littlest was still in her pram) and it was extortionate. I can´t remember the price now but my son-in-law went to complain. He was told that the extra was a ´manager´s tax´. We have never been near one since.

I have no idea Kirsty. We got the normal shoulder shrugs and were treated really badly.

It´s rare for me to go into Las Americas apart from my Monday Bowling but I did venture in on an away day last week. My mate and I had a lovely English breakfast for less than three euros so something like that tends to turn the scales somewhat! It isn´t all bad.

Went to steakhouse. The gave us a very small steak. We sent it back saying we are not tourist, then they sent out large steaks. Did not like the place, could see kitchen, not very clean

why anyone ever eats in these places is beyond me Steak cannot be sold for that price if its any good

It was the worst meal I have ever had put in front of me The place should be closed down for serving such poooo
The place is sooooo dirty I would not even allow a pig to eat off their floors and the toilets are just a dirty hole.. and no I'm not a snob but just have a little look next time you eat there
