Well, left the apartment at 10.00am for K9 and took one dog each out on leads for a walk. Mine was a small cheeky rusty brown dog, who was very confident and into sniffing everything in sight. Gary's dog was very thin and looked like a small hunting dog cross. She was very nervous and we spent a lot of time just stroking and talking to her. Gary would have happily brought her home with us.
We then dashed from K9 to the Supermacado at Las Chafiras. What a place that was - parked the car in the basement of the indoor car park and then spent 15 minutes trying to find the entrance. We both went separate ways trying to find a way in and lost each other. Eventually mobile phones brought us back together. No problem picking up the things we wanted, even weighed the tomatoes and peppers this time, before going to the checkout. The thing that delayed us was the milk!!! I can't believe it took over half an hour tracking it down and that was asking about 4 English people who said the Store didn't sell fresh milk, 2 store assistants and the manager!!
Looking for the milk meant we only just had time to get back to the apartment, for a quick wash and change of clothes before setting off for O'Jangles for the Barranquitos Meet up at 2.00pm. Everyone turned up, SusieF, Zara, Doreen Quinn and later we were joined by Doreen - mustn't miss off Zara's husband and their lovely pooch!! Considering we hadn't met up before I think The Barranquitos meet up went very well and we chatted late into the afternoon, before hunger pangs brought it to a close. Great to put faces to the names, after all these months on the Forum.
Must thank O'Jangles for putting on the Barraquitos - first class!! Will be off down there again in the morning, just to test another one
Anyway, thanks Girls for a lovely afternoon.

Yes, we met up this afternoon and had a lovely time, GfG, SusieF, DoreenQuinn, Doreen and myself, think we all got on well as we hope to meet up again in April when the 'tourists' are back LOL. Think GfG and Susie are now converts to Barraquitos - just shows what a bossy lot we all are, we sent the waitress of to get condensed milk from the supermarket so we could all have them. Good job she didn't have to go to Mercadona or she might still be looking for it.Hiya

WELL WELL ,i read the fist couple of posts and before ZARA even mentioned it i thought "CLIQUE ", so the "WAFFS" are formed WIVES AND FORUM FRIENDS look out WAGS your nothing in comparison to these GIRLIES .These waffs could talk for ENGLAND ,Shop for england ,walk dogs for england ,and well do most things fo england .SO WAGS BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID ......such a mixture of characters ,so glad you all got on .

So we cant find the milk in SUPERMACADO ,or Mercadonna ,No one knows the price in IDLE ooppps sorry LIDL ,is this milk thing a british problem ? Glad you girlies got your CARNATION MILK whats a BAR thingy without carnation ??????
So all you out in Tenerife are missing pies ....as i go past GREGGS this morning i shall have a look at them for you ,shall i ????? oooohhh!there steak bakes ,cornish pasties ,sausage rolls ...ooohhh! the aromas ,ooohhh! the taste ,oooohhh! the gravies dribbling down your chin ,OOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!!
