Just spotted this on Facebook, Liam Oreilly's page, thought i'd put here rather than the news section as more people will see it quicker, if you see this vehicle contact the police immediately

A 3 year old girl has been abducted from Tamaimo, near Pueto Santiago South West Tenerife. TF-7633-V beige or brown Seat Panda. Police are looking for 2 men and a woman.

I don't want to inhibit any positive action by members, but has this been confirmed by an official source? I seem to recollect a similar story on the forum a number of months back that was a hoax. (posted on the 6th Dec 09..sorry don't know how to link it here)

Well, this is one time I can say that I am glad I am an idiot.

The site mentioned earlier by Warmwind with the pic of the little girl, is my blog tenerife tattle dot com I received an email with attachments of government logos and the little girl's picture from a soft-hearted friend. Seeing as I NEVER send round chain-mail letters or get involved in that whole pass-it-on thing. it is bloody typical that the one time I do has to be a hoax.

Still rather that than a wee mite being taken for real. I'll have to go and remove the picture and admit to by gullability on the blog now as well as apologise to my Twitter friends but thank you to Parque and DJandDied for being so quick off the draw.

Parque and DJandDeid, many thanks for pointing out my gullibility.

I tried to post before but my post has been swallowed by the moderator - perhaps because it contained a link to my website? Anyway, mine is the one that carried the pic of the little girl as mentioned by Warmwind. Needless to say the pic has been removed and the fact that this is a hoax has been made.

Thank you both for the heads up. I have mentioned you both in the blog.

Don't worry yourself.
I recieved the same e-mail in November from a spanish source, so I totally beleived it. I even placed an notice in a spanish forum because I thought I was helping, so I felt twice as gullable.
Will know better next time.
