    how do i find out what file format is for my Sat Nav ? One is a built-in Land Rover/Range Rover Sat Nav, I think its a BMW one, the other is a mobile Packard Bell Compasseo ??

    from the splash screens when they start should tell you the program running the maps.
    google "Packard Bell Compasseo " and the model number, read what software it's running and then you will know what format it uses ,then convert to that and add to your map file.

    Thanks, my Packard Bell Compasseo 600 is running 'Destinator' software, but don't mention a 'File' type anywhere, nor on PB site ?

    OK, it says my file format is csv, and I'm downloading the software PoiEdit now - so will keep you informed !

    think I've done it ! Just waiting for my Sat Nav to return home to test it ! cheers
