And I think you have been informed in the past that even new members are allowed an opinion, just as you are?

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes but if I may be so bold, just a couple of questions as I'm confused.
If this is your 3rd laptop purchased from them, then this must be the first time you've had any problems with them,am I correct.
Stay with me on this for a second.
The customers you sent have had no problems as they would have made you aware of it & would have thought you would have clearly mentioned this also in your original post.
To recap then, from past experience you had no gripe with them.
Also the people you sent there have most likely had no problems either owing to lack of complaints.
The conclusion is that this is obviously a one off & seeing as you've been a good customer over previous occasions,I would like to think it only right for the outlet to give you the benefit of the doubt & repair the malfunction with no charge to you.

Exactly, and that's the point i was making!
Not having a go at you but how long have you known about the forum?
How many times have you sat and read it without contributing?
3 posts since joining, 3 on this thread!
Yes everyone is entitled their opinion as Kirsty said but surely it is nice to have an opinion on other things as well as joining the forum just for a "rant"

Re: Has anyone had really bad service from the computer shop Star Talk International?
Go take a chill pill Andy0210!!
You made your first post once, you were new to this forum before.. dont ruin this post, as its a bad experience thread, a warning for our members, its intended to save the time and money of others..
People need to be informed about these things, a bit of bad publicity does a great deal more than just sitting back, letting it happen and not saying anything to anyone..
Im glad Steve has made his first post, there will probably be more to come, this how the forum works..
Not having a go at you, but please Andy0210 just spare this thread with your stupid remarks..
My questions are:
If something gets spilt on your laptop´s keypad, surely this is not under Acers garantee, so then why did it supposedly get sent to them up the north?
Acer would never take 5-6 weeks just to repace this keypad! and they would never have made such a botched job of fitting the new one!
New keypads off the internet are 20-25 euros and fitting it takes 2-3 minutes, so why charge 90 Euros..

Yeah you are right, i was new once, not far off three years ago, in fact 4517 posts ago and i might be mistaken but i don't remember joining this forum " to have a rant" and to try and destroy someones business after one unsatisfactory experience.
But hey ho, each to their own!
I'll leave your little thread alone now for you to continue whatever it is you are trying to do.

Whenever something like this posting comes up, we get people saying that new posters should not **** off a business. As if they don't have a right to complain publicly.
Anyone in business is going to be grateful to have regular customers. They are the most valuable ones of all, because it does not cost advertising money to bring them through the door.
However, a fact of life is that a business is only as good as the last job they did. No matter how brilliant they have been in the past, if they do a rubbish job and fail to put it right, they deserve the brickbats. It would be interesting to know why their workmanship appears to have declined. In my experience, though, it could well be a change of staff - particularly if they have been closing stores. At the end of the day, a business is only good as the staff and good staff could well desert a sinking ship.
