Question Has anyone bought a copy of 'Going Native in Tenerife'?

Has anyone bought a copy of "Going Native in Tenerife " ?
It has some good write-ups, just wondered if it was worth ordering from Amazon. And who better to ask than the real natives of Tenerife.

Absolutely, it’s a gem of a book and the most insightful guide to Tenerife on the market.

But then I’m a bit biased as I co-wrote it.

I’ll be surprised if you get a reply from anyone else who lives here as it was only published at Christmas and hasn’t been available on the island.

I’ve only just received some copies myself and, coincidentally, today have just updated the Going Native in Tenerife blog page with an offer for Tenerife residents which I’ll be putting on my Real Tenerife website as well when I get the chance.

Well if it's anything like your blog (which I am going to have to tear myself away from at some point today) it is going to be an excellent read.

I'm the same ddoyle, certainly hanker for Puerto and the north. There's just something about it that feels right.

    Just ordered...

... a copy from Amazon - this'll test my earlier question about getting things sent to Spain too!

    Looking forward to reading it.

It's interesting that you used the phrase 'something about it that feels right'. That was exactly how we felt when we decided to move here...and we've never changed our opinion.

I know it doesn't get as much hot weather as the south, but as someone who grew up in the West of Scotland, then spent 18 years in Manchester I'm perfectly happy with 20+ degrees for most of the winter and 25+ during the summer.

And anyway, there are more than enough compensations for a few degrees difference in temps.
