Thats exactly how I feel when we are in Puerto, it just feels right. Maybe its an age thing as we are not exactly in the first flush of youth. Also it reminds me a little bit o Cuba or latin America.

I know it doesn't get as much hot weather as the south, but as someone who grew up in the West of Scotland, then spent 18 years in Manchester I'm perfectly happy with 20+ degrees for most of the winter and 25+ during the summer.

And anyway, there are more than enough compensations for a few degrees difference in temps.
Absolutely! For me one of the (many) plus points of the north is precisely that it doesn't get as much hot weather as the south - the weather seems "busier".

Excellent book btw, chuffy. I would recommend it to anyone interested in Tenerife. So many gems in it!

That's a good point, if I were still in my early 20s I may wanting to be in the south but time mellows. You are bang on about it being a little more Cuban/Latin American too. That's part of what "feels" right.

When I first glanced at the title, I thought it was "Going NEGATIVE In Tenerife", and I thought, "Wow, there's a guide for that now"...
Oops.

Just received my copy from Amazon, it took two days for delivery from the despatch notification.

Excellent book with loads of interesting and useful info.
