Apparantely the water bill had not been paid for there too, and they owed a lot of money, but you have a lot of private apartments there too, so I dont know what will happen to those owners

Does anyone know what's going on at Green Park. Apparently all the guests have been moved out? Who owns the complex?
May be something to do with the community having huge debts which go back may years. It also has lots of apartment owners and some busnesses who are many years behind in paying their community fees. There is a legal dispute about who owns the car park etc etc.
Likely to take a long time to sort out
All the the Tour Operators have moved all clients from the Accommodation 2 days ago as there are no facilities (including hot water) or staff apart from the Receptionist and security Guard.

Most people have been relocated to Aguamarina.
However not all customers/agents have been made aware of the situation as just discovered having spent 2 hours at the airport with a couple, who eventually have been taken to Vincci Golf and given a free upgrade by the Agent and several phone calls to and from the UK.

At the last AGM we managed to boot out the previous president (the Martinez family) who ran Green Park since day one. We had been trying to do this for a number of years as they have been screwing us out of all our money.
So many horrendous goings on have come to light and we, the community, are now sueing them for over 2 million euros.
At a previous AGM we were informed that we were in debt for unpaid social security payments to the tune of around 500,000 euros and all owners were set a derrama of 1,600 euros per apartment. Around 340,000 euros was collected in from the owners to pay off some of this debt, and we have recently learned that NONE of this money was used to pay off the debt (and has apparently mysteriously disappeared!!!!).
Same sort of scenario with the water and electric bills for the whole community. The majority of private owners DO pay their bills including community fees, water and electric but most of this money seems to have gone into the Martinez family's coffers - it is they who have not been paying the bills.
We now have a strong community with a brand new President and have formed a committee who are working extremely hard to rectify all the financial problems Green Park has been put into by the Martinez family, however this will obviously take some time for Green Park to recover from the unscrupulous actions over the past 25 years or more.
I believe the Hotel side (owned by the Martinez family) has just been closed down, which is why all the tourists were moved to another complex.
Private owners are still letting out their Apartments as normal. We, the owners, will now be striving to build Green Park into a much better complex than it was in previous years now that we have control over the complex.
Thanks for that information from the 'horse's mouth' as it were, as so often in Tenerife, things turn out to be extravagant rumours! Keep us posted about how you're getting on
