Why do people start bad rumours in Tenerife?

I just can't understand why people here start such horrible rumours.
A couple of weeks ago i was informed of the death of a former tenerife singer who left the island some 6 months ago had died. I was told this by someone who i know would not lie to me. I passed this info on to another person. Two days ago this person told me that the (dead) person had phoned them up just a couple of days ago. I'm sure we all know about bad rumours over here, but how sick can it get????????

Very sick mate. I posted something on an earlier post about the 17 year old boy who died. I got this information that i posted from a couple of residents from around that area that were in the bars around that night. It was rumour on the street so i hope it's right what i've posted.

Ahhh, I know who youre talking about. When I heard that he had died (in Benedorm) I searched all the news websites in the area for news of it but there was none. Also, a close friend of his in Grandees said there was no way he wouldnt have been informed if it were true. Obviously it turned out not to be. The same rumour went round about Crazy Dave, the compere before Sonny / that was a false rumour too.

I must admit that I am getting worse the older I get................do you think I will ever calm down??

Anyway, back to the thread..................... that, unfortunately is how a lot of the grockles are over here!! The way I see it is that when they are talking about me, they are leaving some other poor soul alone who maybe couldn´t handle it.
But like you say this is extreme.................and not funny. Rumours like this can cause a lot of distress. Simple rule that should be followed by all.

ENGAGE BRAIN BEFORE OPENING GOB!!!

The other week someone was asking me if it was true about a guy who had died (maybe the same one you are referring to not sure) and this guy was distraught at the news, but then I put two and two together and assured him it was someone else who had passed over, it was just coincidence that they had the same nick name.............. Panic Over!!
