Does anyone else on the Tenerife Forum have clicking joints?

Hi, have noticed for the past 6 months or so that most of my joints click frequently, my thumbs, shoulders knees and hips click all the time, when i turn over in bed click click sodding click I had a slipped disk in my back at the beginning of the year and am again getting pain from my back again now so it may be the reason but just curious if anyone else has this problem. Im 35 so not old!!! Don't say go doctors i have a fear of em.

clicking joints are not a cause for concern.

The clicking is caused by your lax joint capsules, that allows quite alot more than a usual amount of movement.

This is not as bad as it sounds, I have had this for yonks and yonks in fact a pair of castonets doesnt have a look in with me. I am physically fit and excercise on a regular basis, and this can make this condition more obvious.

The problem is not caused by a lack of lubrication in the joints and even if it were there is no way that joint lubrication can be modified.
the fact that you are having back pain again could be due to a muscular problem or it could even be your posture.
I have had loads of people say I'm gonna be cripples with arthritis when I'm older.........I don't think so and have discussed this with orthopaedic colleagues and they confirm this is not the case.
you will just need to get used to it and don't worry.
I would however attend your G.P. re the back pain....

P.S.
it's only a problem if you want it to be

when my son was born they checked him for hip displacement as ALL of his joints clicked.
It has never seemed to cause him any problems and he is very sporty. I too have clicky joints especially my feet and shoulders. I have heard that taking cod liver oil capsules can help reduce the risk of arthiritus in later years but have never bothered to take them.....I did have a go at taking them and one burst in my mouth yukkkkkkkkkk so have never taaken them since.
