and try find same make, model, year and see what they are selling for

Thanks for that. I just know that there is a website where you can put in your make, model and mileage and they will tell you a fair asking price.

They are asking for a fee of 5.75 euros on this site - the other was free and spot on for a car I have just changed.

Sorry, I should have pointed out it was the website (autoenred.com) in post 4 (and quoted at the top of this post) that I meant - gives a valuation of what I presume to be trade-in and another for selling on. Both figures were almost spot on for the car I have just sold to a dealer - the price he gave me, and the price he then sold it for.
