My friend has moved to Tenerife and is renting a property with her Spanish boyfriend. They are registered here as living together. But she is concerned about the financial side. If they live together for a certain amount of time as Common Law partners, is he entitled to half of her money which she has in England. Can he claim anything? She is a bit worried he would be entitled to claim. What is the Law on this? Does anyone know?

I know in the UK, if you can prove you have lived and supported each other for 3 years i think, you have a case..

the other side maybe she is in a fun relationship, it is easy to share a place but it is not viewed as a long, long term type thing, guarding her butt but I must say, it is sort of nice to see it is not only the female of the species that could be after the money for once sorry one coat AGAIN !
