What Police station should I attend to report a bag snatch?
I need to report a bag snatch first thing in the morning. Can I do this at Los Cristianos or will I have to go to Las Americas?
Although I know there is a slim chance of the bag/contents being recovered I do happen to have a picture of one of the 9 cowards, would it be worth me taking this along to the police?
Thanks

You need to report this by telephone (sorry don't know the number) and they have English operators. They ive you a reference number which you then take to the National Police station to sign the relevant papers. If you just go directly to the National Police station they will just send you away to phone it in.

Why? When I went to the police station to enquire about making a denuncia I could have done it there and then. Or is the procedure you describe just for those who don't speak Spanish?

When I had something stolen I went to the National Police station in Las Americas. This is what they told me to do. You would need to ask them as to why.

I think the difference might be that Jackie isn't denouncing anyone, but reporting a crime. It's possibly a different procedure.
was it brits or locals and 9 all together sounds a bit ott. I thought bag snatches were 1 or 2 arseholes here and there... Hope you werent hurt in any way.......
