Guardia Civil Boat ran aground last night between the lighthouse and Palm Mar.

The larger of the Guardia Civil boats ran aground last night on the coast between the lighthouse and Palm Mar. It was unbelievable to see the boat just stuck there on the rocks but more unbelievable that it actually happened.

The official reason seems to be "big boat, low sea" ...... las grandes dimensiones de la embarcación (treinta metro de eslora)a sumado una marea especialmente baja , ocasionaron que la patrullera encallase contra unas rocas

not that they could have known either of those factors in advance, of course ...

Its very low sea on the shore
There is never that much difference between high and low tide here, also the sea conditions yesterday and last night were perfect not to mention all the navigation & plotters that would be on that boat!

Shame it didn't sink, that would have made a great alternative wreck dive to the Condiseto or the Meridian

How the devil are they going to sink it there? The sea wasn't bloody deep enough to keep it afloat.

EDIT> Latest is that they're waiting for high tide to pull it out to sea and tow it to port to assess damage.
