Here is a list of furniture, bathroom shops, ferreterias in Tenerife
We are currently turning shopping into an extreme sport in an attempt to fully furnish a shell of a house and turn it into a home. So I though it might be of some use to fellow forumites if I posted up our list of the shops that we have so far discovered.

Muebles Los Cristianos also have a shop in Los Cristianos, opposite the cultural centre, by the entrance to the underground car park. Never been to the one in Las Chafiras (although I assume that's the real deal where they have everything in stock etc.) - the Los Cristianos one is handy for people if they are in Cristianos already and don't want to drive out to Las Chafiras.
As for Mueble Directo, I have only had awful experiences with them!!!!!!!!!! We bought our kitchen through them in March. They get made in Poland, then they are sent here. Delivery: end of April. Our friend fitted it a month later, only to find out lots of stuff was missing! We are STILL waiting for those parts!!! I have threatened them with a denuncia at the Consumer's Place through the ayuntamiento... and feel I'll be indeed contacting those very shortly. Apart from that, the quality of the kitchen is not that great. Our mate, who's a kitchen expert, said we could have good a better one from places in Las Chafiras, for the same price. Oh, and some of the wood had scratches on it when we unpacked it! ARGH! Hate them!!!!
no worries Jennie, just thought it might save someone hours of driving around the enormous building site that is Las Chaviras.
as i say, we've turned shopping into an extreme sport recently LOL

aha that's interesting - they are currently fitting our new kitchen. They came recommended by someone we knew, and we checked out his kitchen. They are currently halfway through the job, so I hope our experiences of them are better than yours

well yes kind off ... but only when it's not windy
and I have to say that when we first entered the Alladins Cave that is Textile Sur, Nikki looked around in awe, went very quiet, and announced that she was having a 'moment'.
Extreme Shopping + driving around Chafiras = as much adrenaline as coming down a 6 foot wave ?

One of my absolute favourite shops, as I've said many a time.
Don't forget Bo Concept in La Laguna. Kind of IKEA with knobs on.
