Hi all.
How do I follow addresses in Tenerife?
For example, I have to go to an address tomorrow, and when I try to find a map, I find a different address for the office that I have to go to.
I have to visit Suardiaz, and the address that they gave me today over the phone is;
Suardiaz,
Av de Anaga 39,
SC de Tenerife.
When I look up maps of Santa Cruz, and search for Suardiaz, the address listed is:
Suardiaz,
Av de Francisco La Roche 39,
SC de Tenerife.
I can't find Av de Anaga.
What does the 39 mean? Is that a buildiing number or a street reference or something else?

The 39 will be the street number. In the UK, we place them at the beginning, eg 10 Downing Street. I suspect in this case Av de Anaga is the new name of Av de Francisco La Roche ... or they have moved and miraculously kept the same street number.

EDIT>Or one is an office in the city, and the other a portside one; I believe that Av de Francisco La Roche is where the Port Authority is.

Well, they rename streets what seems like frequently here anyway ... and for no good reason.

I also wonder if we're not talking about the same road anyway, where one part of it is called Franciso de la Roche and the continuation is called Anaga. From memory, Avda Anaga is the road out of Santa Cruz north towards San Andres, but Francisco de la Roche is the road from Plaza de Espana up along the side of the docks. It could just be one road which at some point stops being called Francisco and starts being called Anaga.
