I need to get to a hotel near the Water Park: is a taxi, transfer, or hire car best?

Hiya,

Family of 4 coming for Xmas, we need transport to a hotel near the water park in Costa Adeje.

What's a taxi going to cost?

Is it worth booking a 'proper' transfer?

Is it worth hiring a car for the week, mainly just to get to and from the hotel but it will also be handy for Teide and Lora Park visit? What will it cost to hire a car for the week? What's parking like in the area?

I'm sure your sick of taxi related questions but thanks any way

Hi Carl, there's loads on the forum about this, so make good use of the search facility. Try searching on keywords taxi & airport, water park, airport & transfer, hire cars.

I personally would get a hire car, then you're able to get out of the area and see more of Tenerife, but if you don't know the island well, then maybe a transfer from the airport to the hotel might be best in the first place.

If you get a taxi, I'd expect to pay around 20 Euros, though the cost will vary depending on time of day and taxi driver mood!

Good luck, and have a brilliant holiday. I've retitled your thread so that others who are looking at it will know immediately what it's about and it might generate more answers from people who know about the subject who might otherwise not look at it.

this probably the cost its 20 euro to Los Cristianos and so 25 sounds about right for San Eugenio if they try to get much more ask for there badge no and a receipt.

Hire Car

If you want to hire a car try www.islandcarhire.com they leave the car at the airport all paperwork is done before you arrive, so you have NO queues at hire desk, so much quicker
As an idea Citroen C3 is 195 euros for 7 days

Taxi is MAX 25euros

Transfer may take up to 2 hours if you have other stops enroute

Have a good Holiday

Hotel near Water park

The nearest hotel to the Water Park is the Las Dalias.

Check on the internet for car hire prices from the airport. We used to use Cicar. Auto Riesen is another. You should not have to pay more than 150 euros for a week, so shop around.

Taxi is approx 22 euros, do not pay more than 25.

Good luck

I also always use a car via auto reisen always found them cheaper that the rest but I have one booked from Boxing day and the price had shot up from normal so I would be careful because of the time its expensive.

I love having the car we go out most days to various places and have found some areas that we would never thought of if we had not had the car, you are a bit away from the beach so a car would give you access to most of the beaches all over the Island quite quickly.

Have a great time !

PS The bus is really cheap and a good service try www.titsa.com
