To give you an idea of price, I bought one two weeks ago in Alcampo in the North of the island. It was about 225€. This is cheaper than the normal price in the UK and much cheaper than the £300 upwards they are going for now they are in short supply.
They had shelves full of them in Tenerife so I'm sure you won't have a problem getting one.

That would probably be the best place to go aswell IMHO....Las Americas is for tourists and they up their prices. Carrefore or Alcampo are fab for things like that
I bought a 40 GB MP3 player last year from carrefore for 69€ in LA they were selling it for 150€...identical, when i asked them about it, they said no way was it that cheap...it so was and i had the receipt to prove it ...THEY DIDNT LIKE THAT...

My friend has just bought one in the new Gran Sur Shopping Centre, Torviscas, there is a game shop there that has a real good selection of games and consoles and she said the assistant was a real nice fellow who was very helpful, I think she said she pais 230 or 250 but that included a game etc

We bought our Nintendo Wii from Mercury Electrical in Fanabe, can't remember exact price but we got extra controllers and games. Must have been a good deal because hubby checked out prices in UK first.
