How many Tenerife forum members were without electricity this morning?

I woke up at 4.30 this morning and made myself some coffee. I didn't actually drink it and when I awoke the next time it was cold

It was the strong wind and rain lashing down that woke me, and typically there was no power. It seems that this wasn't an isolated incident and that large parts of Los Cristianos and Las Americas were affected too.

Were you in the dark this morning?

PS The automatic windscreen wipers on my car work - just thought that I would share that with you

I am in chayofa as well mike and like you had no electric. I had to have a shower by candlelight which would have been romantic if it wasn't with my 4 year old

I came to work in san eugenio and there was none here either, the shopping centre was in darkness and it didnt come back on till 9.20.

I didnt think the weather seemed THAT bad this morning. What happens when it gets really bad(ohhh maybe I get a day off work)

I didn't actually know what time it was when I woke up the second time ... all the clocks are electric apart from one and my wristwatch, but it was too dark to see what time it was (and I had foolishly left my torches in the car on Monday )

Up here in El Roque our electricity went off for about 30 seconds and that was it.

Talking of bad weather I remember the tropical storms here. We were actually driving up to Teide when it started and found ourselves dodging the falling rocks along the roads

We were up there that day too. At one point we had to wait for the digger to clear the rocks from the road in front of us.

Hi,
We were in the dark this morning. Thought everything was quiet when i got up to go to the loo. Then realised that the lights werent working!!

It was off for about 2 hours in Las Americas

Still as we design websites for a living had to go back to bed until the electricity came back on.

No problems in Valle that I am aware of. I am usually disturbed by a very loud beeping when our power is out, (the battery pack for turning the PC off without losing any work in hand) trouble is, it still beeps like *&"$ even when the PC is off.
