Just had to let you all know what a brilliant 6 days I have had. My son arrived on Tuesday 13th until Sunday 18th with 5 friends and my husband to celebrate his 21st on the 14th. From the moment the lads arrived until the minute they left we did not stop laughing. Three of them have known each other since they were babies and they met the others when they started secondary school at 11 so they have a really good frienship and bond between them. On the night of my sons birthday they hid all of his clothes so he would have to wear the outfit they had for him. It was a skin tight white vest with a shocking pink leopard skin print shirt which was just as tight, black and white leopard print shorts with almost knee length union jack sock and fingerless luminous green gloves.. To the outfit they pinned all of his 21st badges from his cards. We had a great reception from everyone, from the restaurant we went to a meal for [friends restaurant so he knew what to expect] to everyone in the pubs/clubs we went to. His friends decided that was not enough and dressed him in a second outfit the following evening as they said his 21st was for the full 6 days not just one. The second evening they dressed him in a Little Miss Muffet outfit. Short pink and white gingham check dress with a spider embroidered on the apron. Give him his due, we went to dinner and a couple of bars with them before he said he was getting changed. The boys locked his suitcase in the car boot so lucky for him we had his clothes with us. The rest of the week was spent eating, drinking, dancing, drinking, laughing and drinking. Unfortunately my youngest was sent home from school Thursday afternoon with a headache etc and by Thursday evening was full of a head cold so spent until Saturday in bed dosed up with everything I could give him. I have to give him credit because he said we still had to go out with the boys while he was unwell and if he needed us he would phone. On Saturday we all went to the Tenerife Hammers Kids for Christmas Charity do in Puerto Colon where we had another great night. The owner of the bar is from Manchester and constantly ribs us southerners when we are there watching West Ham. He was asked how much we needed to put towards the charity for him to get up on stage and sing 'I'm a ******'. He named his price and it was raised within minutes. He gave a great performance that he will never be allowed to live down. Today is the first day I have woken up without a hangover, I am absolutely shattered and the bank balance is a lot smaller but it was worth every penny and paracetomol. Have to admit I am missing them already, it is sssoooooo quiet.

What a great time was had by all!!! And what a shame about your other son not being well. It's sod's law that illness always strikes at a time when it's the most inconvenient
