Daverock

This is the big club on it's own across the road from the Hiper Trebol in Adeje. The place looks huge and in an ideal spot for not causing disturbance to residents. It looks all closed up. Has it closed down and if so does anyone know why?

I heard it was specially built to house a Cuban show plus dinner, but closed after a few months. A friend of mine said he went and the food was really poor but the show was spectacular.

Recent rumour was that it was to house Body Works - new gym, health type enterprise

What a shame, as you say food was poor but the show was fantastic. I was going to take some friends there over the Christmas period, but hadn't heard it was closed. Didn't see anything in the local papers. I wonder if the show has moved to a new venue?

They used the car park for the Adeje rally basecamp recently. As I understood it, it's for hire but is too expensive for most events. Another Tenerife white elephant?

fixed it, somehow i can´t access the english version myself neither now...it loads in spanish, but in the upper right corner you can switch the language.

It was originally part of the famous Tropicana in Havanna, with the dancers coming here for a few months at a time.

I've been to the Havanna one (a must for anybody visiting Cuba, it's steeped in history). The show was mesmerising, but the food atrocious there too, so maybe they sent the chef here as well...

Great pity it never took off here, depsite the food it's an excellent night out.

Yep. The car park was packed during the Elton John concert though

It's an awful waste of a venue IMO. Perhaps the owner is sitting on it whilst the land price rises, what with all the new development at La Caleta
