Are there any cycling shops in Tenerife?

Hi all I have an appartment in La Caleta and would like to buy a couple of mountain bikes. Not Top of the range proffessional but just the normal type for occasional use. Can anybody tell me of any cycle shops or stores that may be of help to me. Many thanks Steve Tap

Hi, we bought some really cheapy mountain bikes from Carrefour a couple of weeks ago. Prices start at 50Euros for a basic model. I have heard that Decathlon is the best sports shop but I don't know if they sell bikes.

Decathlon up north are ideal for bikes. There is a shop too near to the Los Cristianos Post office (Correos)

Steve I think this is off topic, but I just need to say I think you sound ever so nice and I am also new here and you know, just finding my way around. Went "oop North" Saturday.. Decathlon have squillions of bikes but I was surprised that the bikes in Toys R Us were reasonably priced (they are not competitive in the UK).

There is a bike place in El Medano that I am going to investigate. Will post back (hoping to go tomorrow).

We are really keen to get bikes asap too!
