Question Do you ever suffer from 'Island fever'?

I sometimes refer to it as 'itchy feet syndrome' - the overwhelming urge to leave the island and be somehere else instead!

Whilst I get this urge from time to time, I suspect that might have to do with the fact that I work from home and would get these feelings irrespective of where I lived...

Do you ever feel the same?

I've never felt like that and i've been here 8 years. I go back to England maybe once a year, always in Jan or Feb and makes me realise even more why I love it here!

My business takes me overseas about once every two months so I am lucky since I have a 'cure' and I am happy to report that I always look forward to coming back

But I suspect that after two years here without ever leaving, my IFS symtoms would be quite severe by then!

I think this is the great thing about Tenerife, that it is large enough to feel that you can "go somewhere" without leaving the island. I think I'd go stir crazy if I lived on La Gomera or El Hierro, for example, but Tenerife has size, as well as things to do.

I used to have that 'itchy feet syndrome" when I was living and working from home in the UK.

I don't think its necessarily because of where you are living, working from home can just feel claustrophobic at times.
