Problem page!

Some of you might have problems. Perhaps you have no body else who you can share your problems with and you may feel lonely Here on the forum, you will always have someone to listen and help. Is this a good idea?

Up to a point its a good idea but you don't want to be overloading yourselves with someone else's emotional problems. There is such a degree of varying opinions on the forum it might be difficult to get a unbiased opinion.I think as far as problems go the forum seems to help in lots of different ways, there is always someone to talk to at the click of a mouse, but thats my opinion for what its worth,I am not an agony aunt.

It's a kind idea, but I think the forum already offers this. In a way, the entire forum is a problem "page"!

Anyone who needs help, or wants to talk about something, just needs to post a new thread. I agree with Olly too, that most of us give the benefit of our experiences, but are not professional counsellors in the main. We wouldn't want to take that responsibility, nor give that impression, which a dedicated site would imply.

I agree. Many 'personal' problems require a one to one situation, which is fine, but having the whole world and it's mother reading about it (bearing in mind that a lot of this forums members know each other), might only serve to exacerbate the problem.

Is there something you'd like to talk about Cathy?

I gave some more thought to this thread when I was doing 70mph down the dual carriageway [ssshh don't tell the boss] its a very difficult thing giving advice, you see so much in the press about people logging on to websites when they are depressed and being persuaded to commit suicide its quite alarming. You never know who you are talking to,I only know one other person on the forum and she is my email friend, she introduced me to the forum.Best days works she ever did.
