Where's the best place to get a 500+ GB Hard Drive in Tenerife?

Where do folks recommend to buy a 500+ GB 3.5" IDE HD in Tenerife... and how much?

I'm trying to weigh up getting one here, or getting one off Ebay and picking it up from the UK at Xmas.

    I NEED MORE SPACE!!

Last time I was in the UK, I got a 500GB USB2 Hewlett Packard portable from PC World of all places. I think it was under 150UKP. Flawless and fast - I can stream movies from it; which is why a non-IDE was no problem.

I got a SATA RAID card recently from eBay (around 14GBP) - worth the investment if you want a *really* fast HD setup with a couple of SATA disks.

@djkirstyjay: Why won't eBay deliver to your home in Tenerife? As well as the RAID card, I recently got a new motherboard delivered OK to my house from a UK seller. Paid via PayPal, and postage was reasonable.

If you really you want a fast harddisk, you buy a SCSI hdd + interface card!
About 2 or 3 years ago, I once owned a 15k cheetah drive... man it was unbelievably fast. :-D

My current motherboard won't take SATA, hence IDE however I'm thinking about upgrading that too... and have found a motherboard that takes both and has all the bits I need, but only delivers to UK. I am back in the UK for Xmas, so I could always pick it up then... but in the meantime, I'm running dangerously low on space... too many torrents!

I know I can get stuff delivered here off ebay, however it all comes down to whether it will get lost in the post, the delivery charges outweighing the saving and the amount of time you have to wait. Sometimes it's cheaper to get stuff here than the cheaper ebay price + delivery... hence why I asked.

Last time I went to Al Campo, they had a good range of HDDs (in fact a whole aisle of them) There are a couple of places in the Valdez centre that have parts (I got some pasta termica there last month)

Have Al Campo got a website somewhere? Last year, I just remember the prices were better than UK, but not much. I worried about the quality of a 'supermarket HD' - but probably only paranoia
