I can recommend C.C.S. (Combined Construction Services). Well established, and reliable. I will pm you his number.

If you want proper marble tops, there's a place in Chafiras just up from iceland next to the german bakers that do them.

Was going to go for granite ones, but to support them at the breakfast bar end would need another base unit so will see when we are out.Granite worktops are definately worth the extra cost, got them here and for the difference which is not as much as we thought it makes a big difference to the kitchen

As Jane b has already mentioned, Santana is your best bet and whilst you are in the area, have a look in Sagrera (next door to the Mercadona).

Granite worktops are not that expensive here, but do be prepared for all sorts of questions that you may not have thought about:

If the worktop isn't a straight length, you will need a join ... which direction do you want it running ... are you going to butt it, or put in a filling piece. If it's a short 'L' would you prefer to have no join and pay for the unusable bit.

How do you want the edges: square, rounded, chisseled etc

How about upstands: yes, no, rounded etc etc

Don't interrupt me when I'm ignoring you!

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

There is a shop in Valle San Lorezo which sells all sorts for kitchens.. worktops kitchen doors etc theres not much they do not have.I think its called Dorta Ferretaria on the rigt hand side a red colour building. They have several staff who speak quite good English and one of them is English/ Canarian probably born here of mixed parents.

Otherwise a trip up North to Leroy Merlin is always a good idea.
