Titsa buses are too big!

Does anyone know the owners of Titsa? If so, please tell them that the buses they employ on the rural roads here are too big!

I have witnessed two fatal accidents in as many months - not surprising, seeing as these (nearly empty) buses take up most of the road when going around one on the numerous bends.

Vehicles at least half the size would be much better...

Titsa does operate some smaller buses in the Anaga region I believe.

I don't find they're too big. At least not here in La Orotava. Everyone uses the bus!

We stayed in Golf de Sur one year and used the bus all the time they were always full. It is very scary though to meet one on a narrow road but I did notice some smaller type ones as well!!!!

Indeed, on the main routes it could be argued that they are not big enough!

Thankfully, the ones that we have seen in the Masca area are the small, mini bus types.

Imagine meeting one of the bendy buses on a corner here!!!!

It's less that the busses are too big, but more the inconsiderate way drivers just abandon cars in narrow streets or tight corners.

See it here all the time in PS where the road has collapsed and the Titsa has to divert down the back streets. They frequently have to sit, sounding their horns waiting for the owner to appear - usually out of Transito with a shopping bag.

Nobody wants the kind of parking restrictions and enforcement as is the normal now back in the UK, but unless there's a bit more thought and common sense used, it could well become the case.

I'll leave it to your imagination as to who are, generally, the worst culprits!

Point taken, but I was refering principally to the small windy roads - the last accident i saw happened just outside Chimiche resulting in instant death for a motor cyclist who encountered a bus turning one of the numerous bends...

Surely the LONG bus driving around the corner was traveling at relatively slow speed. Therefore the biker was traveling out of control TOO FAST

In which case the bus driver and company were not at fault ????
