In case you did or did not know ex-Facist Dictator of Spain Franco has a monument dedicated to him at "Los Raices" in the forests above La Laguna.

Over the years it has been daubed with anti-nazi graffitti, Pro-Canarian Slogans etc. but recently the increasing nazi presence in The Canaries have been active and this culminated in the Los Raices monument being re-formed
