| Yes, the Hague convention is right ... Spain is in Europe after all. But it is allowed its own legislation, as the UK is: there isn't an EU family law, as I understand it, but different national laws which don't have to be identical. I need to find out what the law is here, and how it relates to nationals and foreigners, and what the interrelationship is between the family law systems of two EU countries, i.e. UK and Spain, obviously!! The problem with info on the internet is quality ... most is rubbish, as I always used to tell my students who insisted on doing "research" online instead of heading for the library! This is why I'm looking for anyone on this forum (and elsewhere of course) with specialist and, ideally, qualified knowledge. Thanks for that Kelly, and duende ... good list! |
